COMMON REGULATIONS:
- Event: RUN FOR A CAUSE (Global Running Day 2024)
- Date: 22 December 2024 – 4 January 2025 (2 weeks)
- Categories: 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, Full Marathon
- During this event,
participants can collect medals from the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd editions of the
Barishal Marathon, with updated medal ribbons.
- Participants can
register for multiple events at once, but they must complete separate
registrations for each event. The registration fee includes the cost of
courier services for sending the medals.
- Those who
registered for the 2nd and 3rd editions of the Barishal Marathon but were
unable to participate will receive a 25% discount if they register for the
same category in this event. This discount will be refunded later when the
medal is couriered. However, the discount is not valid if they register
for a different category than the one they initially registered for.
- By participating
in this race, you will be supporting the Cosmic Culture Trust program,
which aims to provide winter clothing and, if possible, educational
materials to underprivileged children this winter. This is more than just
a race; through your participation, you will be extending a helping hand
to society’s underprivileged children.
- Two participants
will have the opportunity to join the DHAKA International 10K event with a
50% discount, while three others will receive a 25% discount through a
lottery.
- The run must be
completed over the same distance as the previously registered event. Participants
may complete the total distance in one session, within a single day, or
across multiple sessions during the event period (22 December 2024 – 4
January 2025).
- Running data must
be saved using any running app and uploaded to the event's designated
link.
- Slots are limited,
and may run out before the scheduled time. However, participants can
complete their runs at any time within the 2-week event period.
